Project Background

QualCore supported the client in developing the digital portion of  the Smart Card ASIC, SoC integration as well as post-manufacturing system prototype development and testing. In addition, client also used QualCore's configurable microcontrollers, 8051 and 8031, across various RFID chips.

Challenge

  • Extremely low power design
  • With only three functional ports, chip verification and fault coverage (without scan) was a major challenge
  • Verification environment developed by QualCore helped hardware-software co-verification
