Project Background

QualCore supported the client on multiple products that involved development of optical networking solutions for real time transport of high-quality stereoscopic images along with audio and control signals over local networks or public access networks. Requirements included both uncompressed transmission and loss-less compressed transmission.

QualCore supported the client in development of FPGA based board-level solution for the Optical Networking System, RTL Development (for FPGA) and system verification.

Challenge

Application was very sophisticated; it required video transmission at very high resolutions (> 2048 by 2048). QualCore developed an extremely high-end FPGA based board for the application. The FPGAs operated at a few 100 MHz
