Background
QualCore developed the multi-channel HDLC controller capable of sending and receiving HDLC packets over 128 or 256 channels. It interfaces with eight dedicated receive serial communication links and eight dedicated transmit serial communication links. The communication links carry data T1, E1 or MVIP frame format in channelized mode of operation. It supports channelized data, transparent channelized and un-channelized data. It performs HDLC processing on packets at layer 2 of ISO/OSI model.
